FAQs
Placing an order
Placing an order with PharmaMedshop is straightforward:
- Browse our treatments and pick the one you need.
- Complete a short online consultation. Our prescribers use your answers to check the treatment is suitable for you.
- If you're approved, choose your delivery option and pay at checkout.
- We'll dispense your order and dispatch it to your address.
If anything in your consultation needs more information, a member of our clinical team will get in touch with you.
You don't need an existing prescription from your GP. Our own UK-registered prescribers review your online consultation, and if a treatment is clinically appropriate for you, they'll issue a prescription for you internally. The medicine is then dispensed by our UK-registered pharmacy.
We accept all major debit and credit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. Depending on your device, you may also see Apple Pay or Google Pay options at checkout. All payments are processed securely through encrypted payment providers — we never store your card details ourselves.
Your bank statement will show a discreet payment descriptor — no medication name or details about what you ordered will appear. Only the company name will be visible.
Yes. Every treatment we dispense comes from MHRA-licensed UK suppliers and is fully traceable through the regulated supply chain. We do not source medication from unverified or overseas sellers.
We don't automatically inform your GP, but we strongly recommend keeping them updated about any prescription medication you're taking — this helps them give you safer, joined-up care. If you'd like us to write to your GP on your behalf, just contact our support team.
Delivery
Yes. We ship every order in plain, unbranded packaging — no logos, labels, or any indication of what's inside.
Your delivery time depends on the option you choose:
- Standard — typically delivered within 1-3 working days of dispatch.
- Express — typically delivered within 24 hours of dispatch.
- Post Office Collection — collect from a local Post Office of your choice within 1-3 working days.
Before any injectable treatment is dispatched, our clinical team may carry out additional checks to make sure the medication is safe and suitable for you. Once approved, your treatment is sent in protective packaging that meets the manufacturer's storage and handling requirements.
When your parcel arrives, follow the storage instructions included with the medication — usually this means refrigeration once received. If you have any questions about storing your treatment, contact our team.
Delivery timescales begin once your treatment has been clinically approved and dispatched.
- Standard (1-3 days): £2.90
- Express (24 hours): £3.95
- Post Office Collect: £3.95
Final delivery options and pricing will be confirmed at checkout.
Yes, we ship throughout the UK including the Scottish Highlands, Northern Ireland, Isle of Man and the Channel Islands. Please note deliveries to more remote regions may take slightly longer than to mainland UK addresses.
We currently only deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. We're not able to dispatch prescription medication outside the UK due to legal and regulatory restrictions.
Referrals
Any existing PharmaMedshop customer with a verified account can share their unique referral code with friends and family. Both you and the person you refer can earn rewards when they place their first eligible order.
You'll receive an account credit each time someone you refer places their first qualifying order. The exact amount of credit, and the rewards your friend receives, are shown in your account dashboard.
There may be a cap on the total credit you can earn during a given period. Full details are set out in our referral programme terms and conditions.
Referral credit is normally added to your account once your friend's first eligible order has been dispatched and the cooling-off period has passed. You'll see it appear in your account dashboard automatically.
The referral programme is designed for personal sharing — for example, with friends, family or colleagues. Posting your code in public forums, coupon sites, or paid advertising is not permitted and may result in your account being suspended from the programme.
The full terms are available on our referral programme terms page. Please review them before sharing your code.
About PharmaMedshop
Absolutely. Your consultation, medical history and order details are kept strictly confidential and only accessible to the authorised members of our clinical and pharmacy team who need them to provide your care. We follow UK data protection law and never share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Yes — please replace this paragraph with your actual regulatory information once your registrations are in place. As an online pharmacy operating in the UK you'll typically need to be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and the Care Quality Commission (CQC), and to display your registration numbers and links to the relevant public registers.
Update this with your real founding year, head office location, and brief story. Customers find this information reassuring — when you have it, list how many customers you've served, your team size, and any notable milestones.
If you experience any side effects, get in touch with our clinical team through your account or our help centre. For severe or life-threatening symptoms — such as difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or throat, or severe chest pain — call 999 or go to your nearest A&E immediately.
You can also report side effects directly to the UK regulator through the Yellow Card Scheme.
We offer treatments across a range of common health concerns. You can see the full list of conditions and treatments we provide on our all treatments page.
We take all feedback seriously. To make a complaint, contact us through the help centre with the details of your concern, and a member of our team will respond within 5 working days. If you're not satisfied with our response, you have the right to escalate your complaint to the GPhC or the relevant regulator.
Weight loss medications
Yes, in many cases our clinical team can help you switch from one weight loss medication to another if your current treatment isn't working as expected, or if you're experiencing side effects. The right approach depends on which medication you're currently on and your individual circumstances.
- Severe, persistent stomach pain that may spread to your back or right shoulder
- Difficulty breathing, or swelling of the lips, tongue, or throat (possible severe allergic reaction)
- Severe pain under your right ribcage, possibly with vomiting, fever or rapid heartbeat
For milder side effects such as nausea, tiredness or digestive upset, these often settle as your body adjusts. Contact our clinical team for advice if symptoms persist or worsen.
You can also report side effects directly through the Yellow Card Scheme.
Small, mild lumps at injection sites can sometimes happen. Rotating where you inject each time and using correct technique helps reduce irritation. If a lump at the injection site persists, gets larger, or becomes painful, please contact your GP.
Don't change your dose without speaking to a prescriber first. Contact our clinical team — depending on your situation, they may suggest staying on a lower dose for longer before increasing.
What to do depends on how long it's been since your missed dose. Follow the instructions in the patient information leaflet that came with your medication. If you're not sure, contact our clinical team for advice — don't double up doses without checking first.
Because these medications can increase the risk of dehydration, make sure to drink plenty of fluids — especially if you have a fever, vomiting or diarrhoea.
If you experience severe diarrhoea lasting more than a few days, or vomiting that prevents you keeping food or fluids down, stop your weight loss medication and call 111 for medical advice. Let the healthcare provider know you're taking weight loss medication.
Weight loss medications take time to work and effects vary between individuals. Tracking your weight, measurements and how you feel over several weeks gives a clearer picture than day-to-day changes. If you're concerned after a few months of treatment, contact our clinical team to review your progress and discuss whether any adjustments would be helpful.
If your current dose is working well and you're not experiencing problematic side effects, there's no need to increase it. You always have the option to discuss going up a dose with our clinical team when you feel ready.
Always tell your surgical and anaesthesia team well in advance that you're taking a weight loss medication. They'll advise whether you need to pause your treatment before the procedure. Don't stop or change your medication without speaking to a healthcare professional first.
Mild side effects typically settle within a few days to a couple of weeks as your body gets used to the medication. If your side effects are more troublesome or persist longer than expected, contact our clinical team for support.
You may experience similar mild side effects again briefly when you step up your dose, while your body adjusts. They should usually settle within a couple of weeks. If they don't, get in touch with our clinical team.
No. Prescription weight loss medications such as Wegovy and Mounjaro should not be used during pregnancy. If you become pregnant or are planning a pregnancy, stop your medication and speak to our clinical team or your GP about timing.
Yes, if you could become pregnant. Because these medications shouldn't be used in pregnancy, you should use effective contraception while on treatment. Mounjaro in particular may reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptive pills, so you should use an additional barrier method (such as condoms) or switch to a non-oral option (such as an IUD or implant). Speak to our clinical team or your GP if you're unsure which option is best for you.
No. Weight loss medications like Wegovy and Mounjaro are not recommended while breastfeeding. Speak to our clinical team or your GP about timing if you're planning to stop or start breastfeeding while considering these treatments.
Stop your weight loss medication well in advance of trying to conceive. As a general guide, this is at least two months before for Wegovy, and at least one month before for Mounjaro — but the exact timing should be confirmed with your prescriber based on your individual situation.
If you're on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and start a GLP-1 medication, some people notice changes in bleeding patterns. If you experience unexpected or unusual bleeding, contact our clinical team or your GP to review your treatment.
Off-label prescribing is when a medication is prescribed for a use, dose, or population that isn't part of its official UK licence. It's lawful and common in UK medical practice when there's good clinical evidence and the prescriber considers it appropriate for the patient. If a treatment is being prescribed off-label for you, our clinical team will explain this and ensure you have the information you need.
If there's a gap in your treatment, you may need to restart at a lower dose to reduce the risk of side effects when you resume. Contact our clinical team for personalised advice before re-injecting after a long gap.
